Daniyar Orsekov
Daniyar Orsekov (he/him) is an LGBT activist from Kyrgyzstan with over 20 years of experience in community organising, research, advocacy, and regional human rights work. He has led national LGBT advocacy efforts, supported the leadership and capacity of LGBT activists across Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and currently works at the regional level to advance trans rights, legal empowerment, safety, and visibility, with a focus on achieving systemic and sustainable change.

Uluk Batyrgaliev
Uluk Batyrgaliev (he/him) is a globally recognized advocate for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), human rights, and inclusive health policies, with over 11 years of experience spanning Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and global platforms. Uluk is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Community Health and Prevention Research at Stanford University, focusing on health equity, policy, and evidence-based solutions to strengthen public health systems. He previously served as SRHR Coordinator at ECOM — Eurasian Coalition for Health, Rights, Gender, and Sexual Diversity, where he led multi-country programs advancing SRHR, HIV prevention, and comprehensive sexuality education for youth and communities facing systemic barriers across the EECA region. He is also the former Vice-Chair of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) Board of Trustees and current Vice-Chair of the Global Fund Youth Council. At the global level, Uluk contributes to shaping international health and rights frameworks as a core writing group member for the UNFPA’s High Impact Practices Strategic Guide on Human Rights-Based Approaches (HRBA) to Family Planning, an expert committee member at the Laboratory for Women’s Rights Online under France’s Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, and a member of the WHO Technical Working Group on School Health Services.

Tony Snizhko
Tony Snizhko (they/them) is a queer feminist activist from Belarus and an international philanthrophy professional who focuses on resourcing historically excluded communities and groups. Tony leads processes on partnership building, innovative participatory grant-making, and emergency response with a strong dedication to human rights, burn-out prevention, and holistic well-being of organisations and people working in them. Currently, Tony works at Mama Cash as the Programme Officer for Europe, North and Central Asia and serves in the Resources Distribution Committee at Dalan Fund.

Leanne MacMillan
Leanne MacMillan (she/her) is an international human rights lawyer with experience in research; policy, program & strategy development, advocacy and fundraising. For several years at Stonewall (UK) she built a global programme with civil society partners and the private sector tackling LGBTQI+ hate crime (Soteria app), refugee protection (SAFAR LGBTQI+ humanitarian
protection & resettlement casework management system), administration of justice, Out of the Margins (LBT+ network) & the role of global business in advancing LGBTQI+ rights. Her experience includes the IRCT – a global membership organisation of torture rehabilitation organisations (Denmark); Freedom from Torture (UK); Amnesty International (International Secretariat) as a member of the senior leadership team, as head of the UN Office in NY and led the global refugee programme for several years. She has carried out research missions in dozen of countries, and practiced as a refugee lawyer in Canada.

Danijel Kalezić
Danijel Kalezić (he/him) is a human rights advocate with extensive experience at regional, European, and global levels, working on LGBTIQ+ rights, democratic governance, and accountability in the context of EU integration. As Executive Co-Director of ERA – LGBTI Equal Rights Association for the Western Balkans and Türkiye, he coordinates cross-country advocacy, supports legal and policy reforms, community-building activities, and engages with international partners to strengthen human rights protections and ensure their effective implementation on the ground.

Erin Vlahovic
Erin Vlahović (he/him) is an intersex, deaf activist and philanthropist from Croatia, currently working as a Program Officer with the Intersex Human Rights Fund. His work focuses on intersex human rights, movement strengthening, and economic empowerment, combining lived experience with grantmaking, advocacy, and strategic support for grassroots organizations.

Miles Rutendo Tanhira
Miles Rutendo Tanhira (he/him) is a feminist, and a movement-building strategist with over 20 years of grassroots community organising and media activism. He currently serves as Programmes Manager and Community Building Lead at TGEU (Trans Europe and Central Asia), where he oversees the design and implementation of member engagement and capacity-strengthening programmes focused on fundraising, leadership, and intersectional cross-movement organising. He is also the founder of Queerstion Media, a trans refugee-led organisation in Sweden. Tanhira is an Obama Leaders Europe 2025–2026, an AI ethicist, and an international migration scholar, passionate about advancing the rights of diverse trans communities across Europe and Central Asia.

Mina Skouen
Mina Skouen (she/her) is a Senior Adviser for Equal Rights at the Norwegian Helsinki Committee, having worked with support for the LGBTIQ movement in Europe and Central Asia for the past fifteen years.
