LGBTI Pathways is a global, multi-year initiative working to ensure that funding for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and intersex movements better reflects the realities and priorities of our communities. Co-led by the Global Philanthropy Project and ILGA World, LGBTI Pathways centers the voices of LGBTI organizations and activists across seven world regions through movement-led research and regional analysis. One Global Report and 7 Regional Reports will be produced. By sharing your experiences and insights in this survey, you are helping build credible evidence that can influence donors, highlight under-resourced issues, and strengthen the case for more—and better directed—resources to support LGBTI movements worldwide.

Please take a moment to read the following information.

Survey Overview

Why should I fill out this survey?

To paint a better, more accurate picture of the work that you do and what you are being funded for, evidence matters. Funders rely on accurate data and the results of LGBTI Pathways will show region-by-region, country-by-country where the real funding is going and where the gaps, priorities and needs are. LGBTI Pathways will compare what you say with what donors share in the Global Resources Report to reveal these gaps. With this information, LGBTI movements worldwide can advocate for more targeted and better funding. We will share the final reports widely in 2026 and 2027 and you will be able to use them in your work.

When is the survey open?

28 January 2026 to 21 April 2026.

What if I have questions or concerns along the way?

You can email the research team at research(at)lgbtipathways.org or the Pathways coordinating team at info(at)lgbtipathways.org and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

How much time does the survey take?

60-90 minutes. Please take your time and answer as accurately as possible. To help you complete the survey as efficiently as possible, please have your annual financial reports for 2023 and 2024, annual reports and information about your programmatic work and list of funders.
